Translation: (Ye) who (mam’) my (krtsnnam’) entire (adhyaatmm’) adhyatm / spiritual knowledge (ch) and (akhilam’) all (karm) actions (viduH) know (te) those men (tat’) that (Brahm) Brahm (aashritya) resorting to (jaraamaranmokshaay) to get rid of old age and death (yatanti) strive. (29)
Gita 7.29: Those who know my entire (adhyatm) spiritual knowledge and all actions, those men, resorting to that Brahm, strive to get rid of old age and death.
There are 3 key words in Gita 7.29 which are as follows
The knowledge giver God of Bhagavad Gita is saying that those who know me in entirety strive to get rid of old age and death by taking refuge of that God.
Bemused by this statement of Shri Krishna, Arjun in Gita 8.1 asks, "Who is that Tat Brahm" (who that other God?). Shri Krishna answers in Gita 8.3 and clarifies that it is Param Akshar Brahm (the Supreme God).
Shri Krishan has said this because he has already made it clear in Gita 4.5, Gita 2.12 and 2.17 that everybody including himself is in the cycle of birth and death. Therefore to seek liberation, Shri Krishna is asking Arjun to go into the shelter of some other God. He makes this further clear in Gita 18.62 and 18.66.
